- Yellow markers clipped into the layout, unpainted
- Modules can be replaced individually if a workstation is moved to a new location
In brief: At the EXOTEC plant in northern France, MOSAIK-FLOOR installed 600 m² of 7-mm-thick, smooth, light gray PURE ULTIMA INDUSTRY PVC tiles in February 2022, with yellow tiles marking the path along an assembly line equipped with lift tables. The tiles are snapped into place on the concrete around the lifts, which remain anchored to the original floor, and are designed to withstand traffic from forklifts and pallet jacks.

Frequently Asked Questions About This Construction Project
Can PVC tiles be installed around floor-mounted machines?
Yes: At EXOTEC, the slabs are cut to fit the outline of each lift table, which remains on its concrete base. The line was not dismantled.
Is a light gray PVC tile suitable for a factory?
Yes, with regular maintenance; for light colors, a protective polyurethane coating is recommended to prevent staining.
How do you define the workstations on an assembly line?
With yellow tiles snapped into place according to the layout: they frame each workstation and mark the walkways, without the need for paint.
Can an ULTIMA INDUSTRY slab support forklifts?
Yes: 7 mm in PURE grade, with a load capacity of up to 50 metric tons per square meter, for forklifts and pallet jacks used to supply the production line.
