Description

PLAKEVENT is a floor protection tile designed for events: concerts, gatherings, and reception areas, both indoors and outdoors. It is laid directly on the existing floor—whether flat or uneven—without any construction work or fasteners, and is removed once the event is over. The surface created accommodates the public and withstands the traffic of carts, while protecting the floor it covers.

It can be installed without tools and locks in four directions using tabs and loops: install, remove, lock.

Its textured surface is slip-resistant (Class R 9) and easy to clean. It is available in solid or perforated versions; the perforations provide drainage and ventilation, while the recesses on the underside ensure it can be used in damp environments.

When ordering Tajima vinyl tiles for a 220-square-meter store in Saint Barthélemy (French West Indies), Lionnel was incredibly helpful and professional. He was always available and responded quickly, despite the time difference.
The tiles look flawless. Installation is easy, even for non-professionals.

I ordered some tiles from Germany. I have to say that everything went smoothly, and the package arrived well-packed in about 7 days. The value for money is excellent! The quality is good, too! I’ll be ordering again soon.

FAQ

What is the difference between a solid slab and a perforated slab?

The solid slab has a closed surface. The perforated slab has openings in its surface to allow water and air to pass through: it is recommended whenever soil drainage or aeration is important. Both versions have the same dimensions, the same height, and the same locking system.

How much weight can the surface support?

The compressive strength is 130 t/m², measured over an area of 1 m² and certified by TÜV Rheinland and LGA. The actual load-bearing capacity always depends on the substrate and the load distribution: suitability for each specific application must be verified on site.

How many tiles are needed per square meter?

4 tiles per square meter, measuring 500 x 500 mm. One pallet contains 300 tiles, or 75 square meters.

How is the slab installed?

No tools required. Before you begin, decide whether to lay the tiles in a 2- or 4-directional pattern: for a 2-directional layout, start with a single tile in one corner of the area; for a 4-directional layout, start with a 4-tile square in the center. Always hold the tiles by the locking tabs; the tile fits into the slots on the opposite tile, and the locking tab snaps into the groove. To remove, lift from the side with the hooks.

Can it be installed on an uneven floor?

Yes, the tile is designed for both level and uneven floors. The recesses on the underside also ensure that it can be used in damp environments.

Is it frost- and heat-resistant?

Yes: from -20 °C to +70 °C, and it is weather-resistant.

Are there any ramps or corners?

Yes. There are slots for universal ramps on all four sides, and both the ramps and the corners fit into place without any additional fasteners. If you’re installing with ramps, the installation must end with a full tile.
